HANDS OF LUKE, DIRECTOR LAURA SAMANIEGO MITCHELL JUAREZ, MEXICO
Spanish Baptist Missions has had the privilege of supporting Hands of Luke over 25 years. In El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico we visited their ministries, Casa de Esperanza (a children's home), a medical clinic, a nutritional center, and a Mercy Home. Below is a photo of a family who fled their home in Michoacan, Mexico. Because their village was terrorized and their lives were threatened they traveled to Juarez, Mexico, and found the Mercy Home. Now they live in a two-bedroom house with a kitchen and bathroom and living room. Hands of Luke provides them with food, clothes, and medical care. They have a Bible study on Thursdays and worship on Saturday. The family is trying to get permission to enter the United States legally. In the last four years over 13,500 people seeking help, have lived in the Mercy Homes.
Included in the letter were pictures of some of the children who live at Casa de Esperanza, a family from Michoacan, Mexico at the Mercy Home, and the Mercy Home in Juarez, Mexico.
Also were pictures of the construction of a church building by missionary Juan R. L... from Vanegas, S.L.P. Mexico. They are holding services even though the church building does not have a roof.
PS. Please keep our four-year-old granddaughter, Penelope Seiss, in your prayers. She had a tumor removed from her brain during two surgeries in 2023. On October 22, 2024 she will have her next MRI. We are praying the cyst stops growing and she does not need to do radiation.
